Trish Borman PhD PLLC

CBT Therapist, Trish Borman PhD

Welcome To My Practice!

I am a Licensed Psychologist who provides psychotherapy using various approaches, including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy).

EMDR is well known for its benefit of reprocessing and neutralizing traumatic and disturbing memories by reducing their emotional impact. The nervous system is then able to shift out of the fight or flight response and is thus calmer and more at peace.

Cognitive Behavior Therapy brings a focused, problem solving approach to psychotherapy, and mindfulness assists with addressing emotions and provides multiple physiological and emotional benefits.

These approaches help clients improve their well-being, lessen their distress, and increase their ability to solve problems and make decisions. As a psychologist, I work to promote growth by helping clients better use existing resources, learn strategies, and build skills to develop new ways to help themselves.

In addition, I specialize in Health Psychology and Behavioral Medicine, which centers on coping with health issues such as chronic illness, physical rehabilitation, burns, and traumas.

I enjoy working with people to reduce their distress from trauma/PTSD, generalized anxiety (GAD), panic disorder, depression, health issues, as well as with end of life issues and grief.

I am available for public speaking engagements for your group or company.

Testimonials

Dear Dr. Borman, I want to thank you for all of your wonderful expertise, wisdom, and support.  My life has profoundly changed in the few months that I went to see you.  I cannot believe that the negative tapes that were constantly running in my head for the last 40 years are totally gone.  I really didn't think that was possible.  I wake up every morning feeling  happy and excited to live the day!  Without you, I don't think I would have ever found true inner peace.  I am forever grateful.  Also, I know I told you that I have lost 25 lbs, but I forgot to mention that I haven't been dieting!  I have been eating when I'm hungry and eating whatever my body is craving.  Isn't that amazing!!  no dieting!!  Wow - thank you again for profoundly changing my life.
